AI agent visibility guides: Instinct, Muse, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Manus
By the MentionedOn team
How to check business discovery, citations, and agent tasks on individual platforms.
Choose the platform your customers actually use, then test a specific buyer question. A mention, source citation, recommendation, and completed agent task are different outcomes. No guide here promises a ranking or implies an official partnership.
Choose your platform
- Instinct: Prepare your business for Instinct AI discovery: clear service details, a usable booking path, and a repeatable manual visibility check without ranking promises.
- Muse: A practical Muse visibility guide covering public website evidence, connector discovery, shared artifacts, and how to distinguish mentions from completed tasks.
- ChatGPT: Check ChatGPT Search crawler access, answer usefulness, citations, and buyer-intent prompts while keeping training controls separate from search eligibility.
- Claude: Improve the evidence Claude can use in web-assisted buyer research, with source-backed comparisons, clear scope, and repeatable citation checks.
- Gemini: Measure Gemini business mentions and source links separately from Google AI Overviews, with a practical method for fixing missing or incorrect facts.
- Perplexity: Check Perplexity search access and create useful source material, then measure citations and recommendations with a repeatable buyer-question audit.
- Manus: Help an agent evaluate and navigate your product with clear evidence, usable pages, and a manual Manus discovery test that separates research from task completion.
Build a baseline before changing pages
Write a small, fixed set of unbranded buyer questions and a separate branded fact check. Keep location, language, mode, and account context in the record. Supplying your own URL tests the page and journey; it does not test spontaneous discovery.
Save the answers and exact cited URLs. Report counts out of completed comparable checks, with unavailable checks separately. Do not translate a single answer into a permanent search position.
Make the next edit specific
Compare the sources used with the buyer decision. Improve missing service facts, supported inputs, limits, examples, or the next step on the relevant page. Recheck that question after the change. Prefer an improvement to an existing useful page over a second article answering the same question.
Keep measurement honest
Consumer apps, API responses, and connected-agent tasks can differ. This collection includes manual research methods for Instinct, Muse, and Manus; it is not an announcement that MentionedOn automatically monitors those platforms. Referral visits and qualified actions require separate measurement, and consent or missing referrers can limit attribution.
