Muse AI visibility: help the agent find and evaluate your business
By the MentionedOn team
How to check business discovery, citations, and agent tasks on individual platforms.
To improve your readiness for Muse, give it useful public business information and a clear path through the customer task. Treat website discovery, connector availability, and a shared Muse article as separate channels with different evidence.
What the platform documents
Meta describes Muse as an agent with a browser, computer, and the ability to create documents and web artifacts. Its design overview also describes background work and user approval for consequential actions. Those capabilities do not establish how an individual business is selected. Meta's official Muse design overview.
Make the public evaluation easy
Publish what you do, who you serve, current limits, and how a customer proceeds. For a software tool, show a real input and output, the supported format, and an honest account of the review required. For a service, explain scope and how availability or a quote is confirmed.
A comparison page should explain the buyer criteria and cite the facts it compares. Label your own commercial relationship. An article you commissioned to put your product first is promotional content, not independent validation.
A connector listing is a different objective
If your product exposes an agent connection, document authentication, supported operations, limits, and the user approval boundary. Check discovery, account connection, read access, preparation, and completion separately. Evidence of one stage does not prove all stages work.
Do not advertise an official Muse listing or endorsement until you can point to the current listing or approval. A public endpoint and a submitted application are different from a listed, tested integration. Website SEO alone does not verify connector compatibility.
Check shared artifacts before using them for SEO
A public Muse share link can be useful for direct sharing, but public accessibility does not establish crawler access or indexing. In our September 23, 2026 inspection, Muse's robots.txt disallowed /s/ for Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, and PerplexityBot. This is a dated platform observation and may change.
Keep the durable, substantive version of an article on your own crawlable website. Use shared artifacts for their reader value and measure referral visits with campaign links. A robots restriction is not a noindex directive; it also does not prove that every blocked URL is absent from search. Check the exact URL and current controls before making a claim.
Measure what Muse actually did
Use a buyer task with explicit constraints. Save the question and visible answer, any cited sources, the chosen business, and the stopping point. Label whether you supplied your brand or URL. An agent that opens your supplied URL has demonstrated access, not independent discovery.
Muse is a manual research surface in this guide, not a promise of automated MentionedOn monitoring. Repeat comparable tasks and report missing access separately from a completed answer without a mention. Keep referrals and paid conversions separate from the answer log.
Access policy checked September 23, 2026: Muse robots.txt. Crawl directives can change; a public share URL alone is not evidence of search indexing.
A repeatable starting prompt
Compare options for [task] that meet [constraints]. Use public evidence, explain the tradeoffs and missing information, and link the sources you used. Stop before creating accounts, contacting vendors, or purchasing.
Adapt the bracketed fields once, then keep the wording stable for comparable checks.
Will publishing a Muse article make my business rank?
Publication alone does not establish indexing, link credit, or a ranking change. Verify the share URL's current crawl controls and measure real referrals. Host your primary evidence on a website you control.
Record the evidence
